All I can say is how amazing is this?!

Etsy Love - groundwork

For the first “Etsy Love” I ran across an artistry shop, GROUNDWORK by Danna Ray.

I LOVE her prints. From her Etsy shop, it states that all prints are made from archival pigment ink on eco-friendly paper…. Art and Green? AMAZING.

I love the feel of her work and the colors blend seamlessly together. You can snag up some of her work for as little as $20 for an 8x11 print. <3

Check out some of her work and grab a piece for yourself!

I was combing Esty for some amazing finds to post on ApartmentLuxe when I saw that their featured blog post is about creating a Modern Bungalow feel… Who said we couldn’t do that in an apartment! I have to say I love the owls in this photo, and originally was looking for an Owl when I stumbled across the Elephant on eBay…

Check it out HERE

I personally love the eclectic feel of some apartments - when...

I personally love the eclectic feel of some apartments - when they’re done just right. I’ve been on the hunt for some amazing little accessories to either redo or leave just as they are. I was on the hunt for a ceramic elephant that I could snatch up and spray paint in a bold color for a side table when I stumbled across this Lime Green Elephant on eBay and fell in love.

I love bold pops of color all over the place, especially if you have a solid color theme such as white or dark grey, these pops of color around the room can add focal interest - and they’re great little conversation starters. Place it by itself, in a windowsill, or on top of some coffee table books. Let your imagination be your guide.

Remember you can always hunt thrift stores for those little knick knacks that are everywhere and think about what it can become - if you don’t like what it is…. A coat of Krylon spray paint can change it’s whole appearance!

The Beginning

This is the very first post for apartmentLuxe…

What are we all about? Well I’ve been on the hunt for a blog or site that allows me to find things from users and people around the world on things that they’ve done with their apartment. Plus, I want to be able to allow people to see things that are actually capable of doing! Not shot by a professional photographer - I’m tired of touring other people’s apartments in the top cities of the country where they have a higher income and can afford to do extravagant things… “Apartment Therapy” - more like I need to go to therapy because I can’t pay for the hundreds of dollars worth of vintage items to redo my apartment like theirs in the top metropolises…

How this all started?

Well, I’ve been looking for a new apartment in a more upscale and trendy neighborhood in my city, and while looking I found that these amazing apartments were $1,000+ a month just to get a cool unit, while at the same time, I found that I could get cheaper more dated units in some of the Century, Colonial, and Historic buildings in the same neighborhoods for hundreds of dollars cheaper, but there is one problem - they’re not visually appealing.

So, I figured with the help of the web, some creativity, and a group of people just like me we can all take these cheaper apartments in the great neighborhoods and make them way better than the apartments in the higher price ranges.

What we can do?

We can post things that we find all across the web. We can find vintage and luxe deals to redo our apartments. We can post DIY projects with before & after photos to allow us to all see the possibility old items have and bare apartments bring to the table.

In the end… It’s all about “good bones,” a creative eye, and the power to get things done!

Who said we all couldn’t have a Luxe Apartment? No matter what Luxe means to each of us…

You also can join in and submit posts via the “Submit” link at the top of the page!
